[gita-talk] नामजप (Naam Japa - Divine Name Repetition)

When name repeats in silence who conducts such repetition?

Scientific Inquiry: Consciousness repeats thoughts, sounds and images of highest emotional potency relevant to circumstances. That leads to another question, "who runs this consciousness? And who keeps this emotional registry? etc." Science, the reasoning, can never reach its end on its own ... because, it does not have an origin of its own!

Spiritual Awareness: Everything runs on its own for its own sake. So is this chanting in silence as well as the wondering on the same aloud! Tagging oneself to anything witnessed is one's own choice and one's own claim.

Respects.
Naga Narayana.

नाम जप में रूचि कैसे हो?

============================================

Dear Sadhakas,
Hare Krishna.
This is in response to a question from a fellow Sadhaka regarding " Naam japa". Naam Japa , means chanting of the  Holy Names of the Lord.
If you do Naam japa alone it is called meditation or chanting. If it is done with a large group of people, it is Called Sankirtana Yajna.

Lord Krishna says in Bhagavad Gita,
" Yajnanam japa yagnosmi."
       Gitaji (10, 25)
Which means,
' Of the Yajnas, I am the chanting of the Holy Names.'

In Bruhannaradiya Purana, it is mentioned as follows,
" Harer Naama Harer Naama Harernamaiva hi kevakam,
Kalau nasti Eva nasti Eva nasti Eva gatir Anya tha."
Which means,
' In this Kali Yuga , the chanting of the Holy Names is the only way for liberation. There is no other way. '

Chanting of the Holy Names is sweet, melodious, spiritually uplifting and most practical.
Let us enjoy the eternal bliss by this process.
Thank you.
Hare Krishna.
