[gita-talk] Daily Bhagavad Gita Message (Gita 18-60)

Daily Bhagavad Gita Message

Gita 18-60

                            svabhāvajena kaunteya nibaddhaḥ svena karmaṇā
kartuṁ necchasi yanmohātkariṣyasyavaśo'pi tat

O Kaunteya (Arjuna), it is out of delusion that you do not want to fight. But bound by your own duty born of your nature, you will fight helplessly against your will because you are a Ksatriya.

Comment:

The Lord says to Arjuna "whether you fight considering it as your duty or you fight obeying My order, regardless you will have to fight. By not obeying Me, your egoism will persist by which even the prescribed actions will lead you to bondage. But if you perform ordained duty per my command, it will become beneficial.
When a wise man whose nature (svabhava) is perfectly pure, is not swayed from nature, he acts in accordance with his nature (Gītā: 3/33)., then how can a man whose nature is impure, swayed by his nature act contrary to (against) his nature?
