[gita-talk] How He Who pervades the entire universe can embody Himself and how He Who embodies Himself can pervade the entire universe ?

 


Question ‒  In Gita 4/7,  Lord declares,  'I embody Myself' (manifest in a form),  but in Gita 9/4,  He declares -  'The whole of the universe is pervaded by Me in My unmanifest form.'  So the question arises how He Who pervades the entire universe can embody Himself and how He Who embodies Himself can pervade the entire universe ?

चौथे अध्यायके सातवें श्लोकमें भगवान्‌ने कहा है कि मैं अपने-आपको साकाररूपसे प्रकट करता हूँ, और फिर वे नवें अध्यायके चौथे श्लोकमें कहते हैं कि मैं अव्यक्तरूपसे सम्पूर्ण संसारमें व्याप्त हूँ, तो जो एक देशमें प्रकट हो जाते हैं, वे सब देशमें कैसे व्याप्त रह सकते हैं और जो सर्वव्यापक हैं, वे एक देशमें कैसे प्रकट हो जाते हैं ?

The fire is in the match box , in the match- stick - thus centralised at one place. Does that mean that fire can not be else where ? One who pervades the universe , can also manifest oneself in a particular form too and still remain all pervading. Fire remains all pervading as well as in one form !!! Isn't it ? 

Why do such Qs arise ? Because we have become too accustomed of identifying ourselves with body, rather we have become a prisoner in the body.

Its answer is already given in 4/6 as "AATMAMAAYAYAA". Though he appears in the world of Maayaa as a normal person but he is the PARAMAATMAA pervading the whole world. Thats why Arjun was able to see the whole universe even in a part of his personified form (11/7,13).

प्रश्न जो एक देशमें प्रकट हो जाते हैं, वे सब देशमें कैसे व्याप्त रह सकते हैं और जो सर्वव्यापक हैं, वे एक देशमें कैसे प्रकट हो जाते हैं ? में प्रश्नकर्ताको मान्यता है कि वह एक साथ दो नावोंपर सवार हो सकता है जबकि वस्तुत: कोई भी एकसाथ दो नावोंपर सवार हो ही नहीं सकता कभी, इसलिये पहले उसे अपनी स्थिति ( कि वस्तुत: वह किस नावमें सवार है?) स्पष्ट करके नीचे दिया उत्तर पढ़ना होगा। 
सर्वव्यापक को एक देशमें प्रकट हुआ मानना भी भूल है और एक देशमें प्रकट को सर्वव्यापक   मानना भी भूल है क्योंकि 'सर्वव्यापकता ' और 'एकदेशीयता ' परस्पर विरोधी (दोनोंका एकसाथ होना, दोनों शब्दोंका अर्थ ही खोना है) हैं। 
जिसे एक देशमें प्रकट मान रहे हैं, वस्तुत: वह सर्वव्यापी का एक अंशमात्र है। गड़बड़ी इस कारण हो रही है क्योंकि एक देशमें प्रकट को आँखोंके द्वारा जाना जा रहा है जो स्वयं मनका दृश्य हैं और सर्वव्यापी को बुद्धिके द्वारा जाना जा रहा है जो स्वयं स्वरूपका दृश्य है। सच तो यह है कि जो अगोचर  है उसको 
गोचर  बनानेकी गलती करके गुणोंसे अतीत  के गुणोंकी विवेचना कर रहे हैं जबकि 'वह' केवल 'माननेका विषय' है, 'जाननेका विषय' है ही नहीं (स्वामीजीका सन्देश दिनांक 25 अक्टूबर 2015 : परमात्मा माननेका ही विषय हैक्योंकि माननेके सिवाय उसको जान नहीं सकतेदेख नहीं सकतेसीख नहीं सकते ।

Dear Sadaks,
Whole universe means 14 worlds including ours. God is in atomic form in universe. A small seed of about 1mm size (Like grain) has got so many structures. When seed is put in earth, it takes as big tree. Man also from sperm level to 6ft tall. Mind manifests in some many thoughts, but can you show me those thoughts. God makes everything from atom level to big level. We make a car by so many materials in weight of 5ton and final product car is 1 Ton. We make from big volume to small volume. Car cannot produce another car. Cell phone cannot produce another cell phone. But God produces man from man, seed from a seed. Our manifestation is from big to small. God manifestation from smallest to big. This manifestation to a very big level is un-manifestation

How can you be eternal? How can you be not body?

I can't explain the how but I still accept them.

Best analogy can be give is "space". As space pervades everywhere, God pervades everywhere. This is just material anology. Spirit (atma, God) cannot be explained by matter as they are beyond matter.
