Srimad Bhagavad Gita

Eighteenth Chapter

  
                                             18-26

muktasago'nahavādī dhṛtyutsāhasamanvitaḥ
siddhyasiddhyornirvikāraḥ kartā sāttvika ucyate

The doer (kartaa) who is free from attachment, is non-egotistic, is endowed with firmness and zeal and  unaffected by success or failure-- such a doer is said to be Sāttvika.
Comment:
A person of Sattvika nature is free from both attachment and egoism, endowed with both firmness and enthusiasm and remains equanimous (without any mental modifications) in both success and failure.
