[gita-talk] Daily Bhagavad Gita Message - Gita 18-25

||  Shree Hari  ||

Srimad Bhagavad Gita

Eighteenth Chapter

                                             18-25

anubandhaṁ kṣayaṁ himsāanapekṣya ca pauruṣam
mohādārabhyate karma yattattāmasamucyate

Action which is undertaken from delusion, without regard to consequences, or to loss, one's capacity and injury to himself or others is declared to be Tāmasika.
Comment:

A  Tāmasika person undertakes action out of delusion without thinking of his own capability and its consequences. He naturally performs such actions which result in obstacles to others; such as, he starts talking to someone in the middle of a path way and to leave his scooter, cycle etc. on the foot-path, stand in the middle of a door way etc. He does not pay attention to the problems he is causing for others.

The Sāttvika nature naturally leads to progress. The Rājasika nature arrests progress and the Tāmasika nature automatically leads to a downfall.
