[gita-talk] Daily Bhagavad Gita Message - Gita 18-23

||  Shree Hari  ||

Srimad Bhagavad Gita

Eighteenth Chapter

                                             18-23

niyataṁ saṅgarahitamarāgadveṣataḥ kṛtam
aphalaprepsunā karma yattatsāttvikamucyate

An action which is ordained by the scriptures and is not accompanied by the sense of doership and has been done without attachment or hatred by one not desirous of the fruit, that action is declared to be Sāttvika.

Comment:

As long as the action is connected with prakṛti (nature) even in a very subtle form, it is said to be 'Sattvika Karma'. But when the connection with Prakṛti is completely renounced, then it becomes an 'Akarma'.
