[gita-talk] Daily Bhagavad Gita Message - Gita 16-16

Sixteenth Chapter

anekacittavibhrāntā mohajālasamāvṛtāḥ
prasaktāḥ kāmabhogeṣu patanti narake'śucau

Bewildered by many desires, entangled in the web of delusion, deeply addicted to gratification from worldly objects and sensual pleasures, they fall into foulest hells.

In the attainment of the higher worlds or condemnation to hells depends upon man's inner feelings (Bhava) rather than on his actions and the objects. Corresponding to the inner feelings, the actions are performed automatically. Therefore, the Lord has described the inner feelings (motives etc.) of men possessed of demoniacal nature.

From Gita Prabodhini  by Swami Ramsukhdasji
