[gita-talk] What is Dharma and What is Adharma, Please Help Me to Understand

Swamiji, daily I study the SADHAK SANJEEVANI, but I have conflict in my mind, and I am unable to know as to what is righteousness, duty (dharma) and what is non-duty, unrighteousness (adharma)? Please help me to understand as to what is dharma and what is adharma? At your Lotus Feet

man main yeh dwanda hai ki main kartabya(dharma) or akartabya
(adharma)ko nahin jan pa raha hun.To krupaya aap mujhe yeh samjhaiye
ki kya dharma hai or kya adharm hai.

Swamiji quotes -

"shruyataam dharmasarvasyam shrutvaa chaivaavadhaaryataam
aatmanah pratikoolaani pareshaan ne samaacharet."

Listen to the entire essence of the dharma (righteousness), and after listening, hold on to it. That which is unfavorable (unpleasant) to us, do not do to others.

Swamiji also emphasizes this -

Arjuna said that I cannot decide on my Dharma (Duty) - "Dharmasammoodhachetaah (Gita 2/7), Then Lord says - that you do not have to make a decision on your duty. You leave the dependency of all Dharmas (righteousness) and simply come under my shelter –
"Sarvadharmaaparityajya maamekum sharanam vraj" (Gita 18/66)
